GADGETURE is a blog to share my passion in the world of gadget. I like to share what I love, what I like, and what I think it’s worth to share with you. My Name is Khoirul Walad and I live in Bandung, Indonesia. As capital of West Java, Bandung is well known as “Paris van Java”, it’s one of the most beautiful cities in Indonesia. I studied mechanical engineering and now I work as mechanical engineer. I live with my family and grow my child. It’s beautiful world, isn’t it?

I use a VAIO laptop for most of my works, it runs on Windows Vista operating system. iPhone 3G is my only smartphone for more than 3 years since I broke my old Nokia 3530 in 2008. There is also a CANON PIXMA MP145 All-in-One printer on my desk. A dry cabinet stands in the corner of my room, it’s the safe place for my two D-SLR cameras: Nikon D5000 which I converted to InfraRed camera; and a Nikon D7000 which I use daily to shot model and landscape. I have three lenses, Nikkor AF-S 18-55mm, Nikkor AF-S 35mm, and Nikkor 50-200mm. All of them are protected with UV filter 52mm.

For internet connection, I use TP-Link TD-W8901G ADSL modem to connect to Telkom’s broadband network, one of the most reliable networks in my town. For back up, I uses 3G dongle from Telkomsel.

My IT background started in 2001 when I fell in love with Linux operating system. I’m not a kernel developer, but I worked as Network Administrator and I loved my job more than anything. I love to read technology related news especially the gadget world. I subscribe hundreds of newsletter and get tons of email every day. And once again, I want to share my passion with you.
